I am certified in PreK - Age 4, Elementary Education Grades K-6 and Middle School Math Grades 6-8. I am also certified in Exceptional Student Education Grades K-12.

Experience

I began teaching in 1999 at Grand Ridge School. I was hired by Mr. Don Wilson to teach first grade. I returned the following year to teach Kindergarten one year, then was moved to 5th Grade.

I then transferred to Washington County and taught 4th Grade Math in Vernon Elementary School. We had great success and our students received high scores that year.

My family then relocated to Princeton, West Virginia where I worked as a substitute for grades K-8 for two years.

We then moved back to Florida. And I began teaching Kindergarten in Apalachicola. I then transferred to Gulf County and taught 2nd grade and 7th and 8th grade Math.

My family and I relocated in 2013 and I taught 6th grade Math at Grand Ridge School. Two years ago I was blessed to be hired by Dr. Braxton and began teaching Pre-K here at Hope School, the most wonderful place in the world!

Bio

I am a 42 year old teacher with a great heritage of Native American history. My grandfather was a medicine man in his tribe. He was a full-blooded Apache Indian. I have roots in New Mexico and Mexico, but have been raised here in Jackson County all my life. My family moved here when I was only two years old. I went to Sneads Elementary for the first three years of my school education then transferred to Malone School where I graduated in 1992. I then attended Chipola Junior College and received my Associate of Arts degree.

I then transferred to Troy State University at Dothan and attended there until I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful children that want to attend here at Hope School.
